Job Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Accounting Operations Manager to join our dynamic Finance Operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of our financial reporting processes across a global network of entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance of vendor teams responsible for key accounting operations tasks, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting. Ensure adherence to established accounting policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor critical performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to guarantee accuracy and compliance with set standards.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of accounting standards, regulations, and policies. Provide expert guidance and support to business partners on complex accounting matters.
  • Analyze profit and loss statements and balance sheets, providing insightful reports and responding to inquiries from finance and business stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or anomalies in financial data, ensuring the integrity of our accounting records.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated issues, collaborating with leadership, business partners, team members, and vendor representatives to facilitate effective resolution.
  • Implement and maintain standardized global processes for essential business activities, driving efficiency and consistency across operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, leveraging technology to enhance internal workflows and optimize performance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory financial statements and tax filings, adhering to local laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in accounting close and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong understanding of APAC region accounting standards, tax regulations, and practices is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority and drive accountability within teams.
  • Excellent collaboration and business partnership skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Extensive experience working effectively with international teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Answers OBIEE, and/or SmartView is a plus.
