Job Summary

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Humanscale's products, improving manufacturing processes, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues in the Asia region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with contract manufacturers to monitor and set up production/assembly lines in Asia for consistent quality output, manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) process, including the determination of requirements and assurance of on-time completion.
  • Support supply chain and NPI activities in Asia Pacific regions, particularly in China, for future growth.
  • Identify and correct ongoing supplier quality problems through systematic analysis and subsequent recommendations to improve their product and process quality.
  • Partner with Asia's sourcing team to perform supplier audits, performance assessments, and quality system setup with Asia's suppliers, and conduct inspections at manufacturing sites (if applicable).
  • Test product samples from different development phases, particularly in an end-user simulated environment, to identify bugs, suggest problem-solving, and design improvements.
  • Provide quality tool training to business partners and lead/facilitate the continuous improvement process.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Quality Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in quality management, with exposure to various manufacturing processes.
  • Technically well-versed QA engineer with project management skills.
  • Familiar with various root-cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, PPAP, PFMEA), with the ability to investigate and debug product quality problems and offer solutions/alternatives.
  • Familiar with Quality Management Systems like ISO 9001/IATF 16949/ISO 14001, with auditor certificates being an advantage.
  • Ability to develop Finish Goods testing procedures and scripts in writing.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese Mandarin.
  • Green Belt/Black Belt Certificates will be an advantage.
