With a vast network of engineering centers, testing laboratories, and manufacturing sites, Garrett collaborates with major automotive manufacturers to deliver innovative technology solutions.

Position Overview:

1. Project & Value Engineering Sourcing

Lead the supplier selection process for projects and value engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with the commodity panel strategy.

Take ownership of project deliverables for sourced components, including cost management, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and compliance with design specifications.

Identify resourcing opportunities and contribute to value engineering ideation for commercial vehicle projects.

Implement logistics productivity actions in accordance with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) requirements, collaborating closely with the Commodity organization.

Manage engineering changes post-Start of Production (SOP) with suppliers, ensuring savings are realized in the first year following award.

2. Mass Production Operations

Serve as the primary supplier contact for commercial vehicle operations.

Facilitate regional engagement on component scopes not included in the supplier list, including Original Equipment Suppliers (OES) and Independent Aftermarket (IAM) when applicable.

Address logistics, capacity, and quality issues as the first point of contact within the supply chain and quality management.

Gather capacity data from suppliers and negotiate charge-back amounts effectively.

Develop and execute procurement mitigation plans to address current business challenges within the supplier scope.

Support trade compliance and sustainability initiatives by collecting relevant information.

3. Commodity Panel Strategy Support

Contribute to the Commodity panel strategy by achieving productivity objectives and ensuring supplier performance reviews are conducted.

Track action plans and provide feedback to the commodity team regarding your areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of direct sourcing experience in the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
  • Ability to learn quickly and maintain transparency in processes.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in English is required for business communication.
