Biomedical Engineering Faculty Position with Competitive Salary in Suzhou

Xi an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is a unique international education experience, bringing together excellent research practice and expertise from the University of Liverpool and Xi an Jiaotong University. Located in Suzhou, China, XJTLU is entering a new phase of development as part of its strategic priorities for the next decade. The university has adopted a new higher education model based on the concept of Syntegrative Education (SE), which aims to address challenges arising from the 4th Industrial Revolution. XJTLU is also exploring future education by blending educational theory, best practice, and culture from the West and East.
About Academy of PharmacyThe Academy of Pharmacy was established in 2020, focusing on pharmaceutical sciences and aiming to recruit faculty from globally distinguished institutions working in this discipline. The academy plans to work closely with the local private sectors for student/professional training and basic research. It will also build a state-of-the-art Pharmaceutical Analysis Core Lab and Laboratory Animal Research Centre with excellent technical support.
XJTLU has over 25,000 enrolled students in both Suzhou and Liverpool, with plans to grow to about 28,000 students by 2025. The university currently has around 2,000 staff, among which about 1,000 academic staff, with an almost even split between citizens of the People s Republic of China and international passport holders.
Responsibilities- To teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses;
- To conduct active research and mentor graduate students;
- To carry out various administrative duties;
- To collaborate with industrial partners.
- The successful applicant will have a PhD degree with expertise in biomaterials, nanomedicine, biosensing/bioimaging, scalable production of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, biomaterials, regenerative medicine technologies, neural medicine technologies, cancer technologies, artificial intelligence-enabled biomedical technologies, biomedical engineering design, or a related discipline.
- Candidates for the position of Associate Professor and above should also have a strong track record in teaching and academic supervision, as well as an international collaborative research profile in their fields and a successful record of research funding.
We offer a competitive salary package, including a monthly salary range of ¥30,000 - ¥50,000 (approximately $4,300-$7,200 USD), depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to the salary, employees are entitled to various allowances, such as housing allowance, travel allowance, education allowance, relocation allowance, and others. We also provide commercial insurance plans customized for our staff and family members. Paid holidays include statutory holidays, annual leave, family matters leave, paid sick leave, marriage leave, paternity leave, parental leave, and more.
