About the Academy of Pharmacy
The Academy of Pharmacy at XJTLU is a pioneering institution focused on pharmaceutical sciences. Established in 2020, it aims to attract globally distinguished faculty members to contribute to its research and teaching endeavors.
With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration, the Academy seeks to work closely with local private sectors for student/professional training and basic research. The state-of-the-art Pharmaceutical Analysis Core Lab and Laboratory Animal Research Centre will provide excellent technical support for staff members.
Suzhou, the location of the Academy, is rapidly becoming a hub for pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, with over 600 pharma and biotechnology companies in Suzhou Industrial Park. This presents a unique opportunity for researchers to engage with industry partners and explore innovative solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in biomedical engineering and related fields;
- Conduct active research and mentor graduate students in their research projects;
- Carry out various administrative duties as required by the department and university;
- Collaborate with industrial partners to develop research projects and seek funding opportunities;
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate should have a PhD degree in biomedical engineering or a related field, with expertise in biomaterials, nanomedicine, biosensing/bioimaging, scalable production of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, biomaterials, regenerative medicine technologies, neural medicine technologies, cancer technologies, artificial intelligence-enabled biomedical technologies, biomedical engineering design, or a related discipline.
Candidates for the position of Associate Professor and above should also have a strong track record in teaching and academic supervision, as well as an international collaborative research profile in their fields and a successful record of research funding.
Benefits
XJTLU offers a competitive salary package, including:
- A generous annual salary range: ¥350,000 - ¥500,000 (approximately $50,000 - $70,000 USD), commensurate with experience and qualifications;
- A housing allowance of ¥50,000 - ¥100,000 (approximately $7,000 - $14,000 USD) per year;
- A travel allowance of ¥10,000 - ¥20,000 (approximately $1,400 - $2,800 USD) per year;
- An education allowance of ¥5,000 - ¥10,000 (approximately $700 - $1,400 USD) per year;
- A relocation allowance of ¥50,000 - ¥100,000 (approximately $7,000 - $14,000 USD);
- Commercial insurance customized for XJTLU staff and family members;
- Paid holidays, including statutory holidays (11 days) and annual leave (36 days);
- Family Matters Leave, Paid Sick Leave, Marriage Leave, Paternity Leave, and Parental Leave;
- Working visa and residence permit in China sponsored by XJTLU.
