Xi an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is a premier institution that offers a unique international education experience. The university was created by the University of Liverpool and Xi an Jiaotong University, a top ten university in China. XJTLU brings together excellent research practice and expertise from both institutions, providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to secure careers in a global marketplace.
The university has over 25,000 enrolled students in both Suzhou and Liverpool in the UK, with plans to grow to about 28,000 students by 2025. There are currently about 2,000 staff, among which about 1,000 academic staff, with an almost even split between citizens of the People s Republic of China and international passport holders.
XJTLU offers its undergraduates and postgraduates over 100 programmes with a diverse spectrum of courses.Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary in the market range of $80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to the salary, we provide various allowances, including housing allowance, travel allowance, education allowance, relocation allowance, and others.
We also offer commercial insurance plans customized for XJTLU staff and family members. Paid holidays include statutory holidays, annual leave, family matters leave, paid sick leave, marriage leave, paternity leave, parental leave, and others. We sponsor working visa and residence permit in China for the staff.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our Academy of Pharmacy. The successful applicant will have a PhD degree with expertise in biomaterials, nanomedicine, biosensing/bioimaging, scalable production of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, biomaterials, regenerative medicine technologies, neural medicine technologies, cancer technologies, artificial intelligence-enabled biomedical technologies, biomedical engineering design, or a related discipline.
The applicant should demonstrate appropriate teaching experience and evidence of the ability to obtain external research funds and produce high quality research publications. Candidates for the position of Associate Professor and above should also have a strong track record in teaching and academic supervision, as well as an international collaborative research profile in their fields and a successful record of research funding.
Responsibilities- To teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses;
- To conduct active research and mentor graduate students;
- To carry out various administrative duties;
- To collaborate with industrial partners.
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- A PhD degree with expertise in biomaterials, nanomedicine, biosensing/bioimaging, scalable production of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, biomaterials, regenerative medicine technologies, neural medicine technologies, cancer technologies, artificial intelligence-enabled biomedical technologies, biomedical engineering design, or a related discipline;
