Job Summary

Brenntag, a leading global chemical distributor, is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Regulatory Manager - Global Sourcing to join our team in Beijing. As a key member of our Global Sourcing team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the GSO Regulatory Manager and senior management to develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies.
  • Work closely with GSO Product Management and Supply Chain Team Leaders to identify and mitigate regulatory risks.
  • Develop and maintain written SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure GSO compliance processes are clear, concise, and well understood.
  • Conduct periodic training of all affected GSO team members.
  • Support GSO PMs to lead new and existing supplier audits and visits in accordance with necessary industry standards/certification.
  • Monitor and report on supplier compliance with Brenntag code of conduct and regional compliance programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university is required. Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration a plus.
  • Minimum 10 or more years' experience in auditing, quality, safety, health, and/or environment within the chemical or related industry.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Able to work effectively in the absence of daily direct supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills able to work effectively in a multi-culture team environment.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Mature organization skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Goal and results-driven.
  • Highly motivated, committed, effective, and supportive team member, able to work flexibly, quickly, and accurately to achieve tight deadlines.
  • Able to travel (domestic & international) as required to meet business needs.
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint presentation skills.
