Job Summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. As a key member of our Internal Audit department, you will be responsible for executing evaluations of internal controls, financial and management reporting, operational effectiveness, and business systems across our global locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out assigned Sarbanes Oxley related activities, including scoping analysis, planning, and management testing.
  • Conduct interviews and surveys in audit areas assigned, ensuring timely and effective accomplishment of administrative tasks.
  • Assist in the coordination of work performed with independent public accountants, analyzing processes and data to assess compliance with applicable procedures.
  • Draft, review, and discuss audit findings with Internal Audit management and audited unit management on a timely basis.
  • Review and ensure timely completion of all audit work performed, completing workpapers to standard.
  • Proactively execute testing, audits, and special projects, defining specific objectives, theory, and scope of controls testing.
  • Ensure audit approach and work program addresses highest risk areas given time available, assisting in conducting reviews of hardware, software, and data in terms of security, management, and data integrity.
  • Assist management with development of department planning and scheduling, demonstrating understanding and application of International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Institute of Internal Auditors Code of Ethics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 6+ years of public/internal audit experience (big 4 is a plus) or 6+ years of accounting/finance experience.
  • CA (Chartered Accountant) preferred.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management, effectively managing time, prioritizing, and handling multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Proficiency with data analytics is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with people even under difficult circumstances, building collaborative relationships and contributing to the efforts and accomplishments of individuals and teams throughout the organization.
  • Excellent communications skills, including significant experience in written and oral reports and presentations to high-level management.
