About Shanghai High School International Division

Shanghai High School International Division is a reputable institution with a rich history dating back to 1865. With an overall size of 340 mu and a campus covering 223,617 square meters, it is one of the most well-known schools in China and globally.

The school has produced over 100 provincial and ministry leaders of the People's Republic of China, 55 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and 30 generals in the People's Liberation Army.

International Baccalaureate World School and UNESCO Associated School

In 1993, Shanghai High School International Division was founded, and in 1995, it became an International Baccalaureate world school. In 2003, it became the only United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) associated school in Shanghai.

The school is authorized by the College Board to administer AP, SAT, and PSAT exams and is an authorized TOEFL exam center. It is also approved to be a test center by Cambridge International Examinations and is authorized by ACT Inc. as an ACT exam center.

In 2017, SHSID became the University of Cambridge China Screening Center. Currently, approximately 2,800 students from over 60 countries and regions are enrolled in the Puxi and Pudong Campuses of the International Division.

About the Job

We are seeking a highly qualified Middle School Mathematics Instructor to join our team. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to the development of our mathematics program.

Your primary responsibility will be to teach middle school mathematics classes, developing engaging lesson plans and assessments that meet the needs of our students. You will also be expected to participate in department meetings, grade-level teams, and other professional development opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Teaching experience in middle school mathematics
  • Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
