Middle School English Educator

Shanghai High School International Division seeks an accomplished Middle School English Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language Arts to a diverse group of students, fostering a positive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and creativity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language Arts to students in grades 6-8, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help students achieve their full potential
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, ensuring alignment with International Baccalaureate standards
- Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education
- Contribute to the school's mission by promoting a culture of mutual respect, empathy, and inclusivity
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification or licensure in English Language Arts
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in a similar setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong knowledge of English Language Arts curriculum and pedagogy, with experience in lesson planning and delivery
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a positive attitude and a growth mindset
