English Teacher for Bilingual Middle School in Shanghai

We are seeking an exceptional English Teacher to join our team at a prestigious bilingual middle school in Shanghai. As a dedicated educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our students.
Job SummaryThis is a full-time position commencing from February 2024. The successful candidate will teach the school's English curriculum to middle school students, developing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
Key Responsibilities- Teach English classes to middle school students, utilizing a range of teaching methods to promote academic excellence and student engagement;
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans, assessments, and report comments to ensure students receive regular feedback and guidance;
- Collaborate with Chinese teachers to develop and improve the school-based curriculum, promoting cross-cultural understanding and exchange;
- Monitor student progress, setting targets to facilitate growth and improvement, and providing constructive feedback to students and their parents/caregivers;
- Supervise morning reading sessions, after-school clubs, and evening study supervision sessions, ensuring students receive additional support and enrichment opportunities;
- Act as a homeroom teacher for a class, fostering a supportive learning environment and promoting social skills development.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field;
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in a similar context;
- Excellent English communicative skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs;
The successful candidate can expect a competitive remuneration package, including:
- A monthly salary of 20,000 to 35,000 RMB before tax;
- Housing allowance of 2,000 RMB per month;
- Public holidays and 60% paid Summer and Winter holidays;
- Meal allowance of 300 RMB per month into a lunch card;
- Flight reimbursement of 10,000 RMB per academic year;
- Free tuition for up to two children.
