Job Overview

The Technical Development and Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the development of customer solutions and technology for the Aerospace and Industrial Plate Value stream in Asia. This role requires a high level of engagement with customers to understand their needs and market requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all TDE activities in Asia for A&IP business and ensure alignment with global TDE on key responsibilities.
  • Introduce new products and value-adding services and report progress from customers and the plant side.
  • Manage CVI projects and report from the commercial side, influencing project progress with R&D and Operation teams.
  • Lead assigned strategic agenda projects from global and regional A&IP teams, including sustainability initiatives.
  • Oversee CSI from a technical perspective on claim processes and continuous improvement.
  • Manage application-related onsite support and product continuous improvement projects.
  • Serve as a technical interface with mid-senior technical leaders from customers to support sales and marketing events.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Advanced degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong engineering background in the Aerospace industry is preferred.
  • Experience in a people management role is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English and ability to work in a global exposure environment.
  • Ability to learn continuously and quickly under all circumstances.
  • Demonstration of energy, self-driven, and enthusiasm in pursuing goals.
  • Effective team working and stakeholder relationship building.
  • Adaptability to changes and ability to scope out plans, execute, and set priorities.
