Procurement Director, A&M China Lead

Role Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for driving the end-to-end commercial procurement strategy across all categories in China, focusing on Media, Digital/Social, Creative, PR, Trade Marketing, POS, and Consumer Promotion. Key objectives include defining and executing procurement strategies, managing risk, and improving agency performance through annualized reviews and action plans.

This role requires strong leadership and collaboration with the APAC A&M Procurement lead to adopt global strategies and tailor them to the local market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement and a deep understanding of the FMCG industry.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an integrated procurement strategy that aligns with commercial units, leveraging scale and scope to achieve best-in-market agreements and increase profitability.
  • Collaborate with the APAC A&M Procurement lead to adopt global strategies and tailor them to the local market.
  • Establish effective ways of collaborating with key stakeholders and contribute to the overall strategic direction of broader China business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain compliance and governance structures, managing commodity price risk, procurement ess/control risk, policy, and standards within the A&M category.
  • Establish functional credibility with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Active participation with cross-functional teams supporting the execution of the commercial calendar via the planning and implementation of new products.
  • Optimize supplier innovation and technology.
