Position Overview

Role Summary

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams oversee every facet of a product, from spearheading new product innovation to production and marketing. They are accountable for the comprehensive product strategy, business leadership, and capacity planning to achieve sales and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Analysis & Strategic Development
• Analyze market trends, demand influencers, customer requirements, industry developments, and competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with global teams to explore market and product strategies.
• Provide foundational materials for go-to-market strategies.
• Partner with R&D and operations to develop new products that align with current and future customer needs and market trends.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle.

2. Business Planning
• Work across functions to meet sales, technology, and operational goals alongside financial targets.
• Implement pricing strategies as determined by lead Product Managers.
• Assist in formulating the annual operating plan.

3. New Product Development & Launch Execution
• Initiate new projects for platform products and collaborate with project management teams to ensure timely product launches.
• Provide product details and samples to customers and sales teams to support new product introductions.
• Collect product specifications and attributes for marketing promotions.
• Supply product demand forecasts for the S&OP process.
• Promote new products in collaboration with the sales team.

4. Post-Launch Product Management
• Conduct pricing, cost, and margin assessments.
• Develop sales forecasts and verify product capacity plans.
• Deliver product information to customers, sales teams, customer service, and field application engineering.
• Address requests for proposals and samples.
• Analyze surplus and obsolete inventory.

5. Team Management & Development
• Foster talent development with defined targets and goal tracking.
• Manage global teams with effective communication and collaboration across time zones.
• Formulate and advocate product strategies by region in conjunction with regional Product Managers.
• Regularly analyze P&L and take necessary actions with CBC3 team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a technical field such as Engineering.
• Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or Product Management is preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in application engineering, project management, or engineering roles, with relevant product or industry experience.
• Operational experience in electronics manufacturing or manufacturing engineering is advantageous.
• Proven excellent communication skills (verbal, written, spoken) with outstanding listening abilities.
• Proficient in English.
• Willingness to travel regionally and flexibility in working days are essential.
