Stress Testing Manager - PORTFOLIO, POLICY AND CONTROL

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Stress Testing Manager - PORTFOLIO, POLICY AND CONTROL. This position will play a critical role in supporting the Team Lead to manage the execution, analysis, and communication of wholesale credit stress testing results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Team Lead in managing the execution, analysis, and communication of wholesale credit stress testing results, including non-climate regulatory driven stress tests, internal stress tests, financial resources planning, and climate risk related stress tests.
  • Optimize ASP WCRM's internal stress test capabilities to ensure vulnerabilities in the portfolio are well understood and stress results are factored into risk appetite and risk mitigation decisions.
  • Support the Team Lead in delivering Stress Testing responsibilities and perform the role of a risk steward.
  • Review and challenge stress testing results, and manage the production of presentation materials to ensure regulatory and regional requirements are fulfilled.
  • Assist in coordinating management actions around Stress Testing process and outcomes.
  • Contribute to regular market and economic analyses to ensure that stress scenarios are fit for purpose.
  • Ensure that stress testing requirements are appropriately defined and embedded to fulfill regulator demands, including modeling, policy, stress testing, and disclosures at regional and site levels.
  • Support the team in coordinating internally within WCRM and working with Strategic Planning and Stress Testing team to maintain an effective regional operating model for all stress testing activities in the region.
  • Provide direction and guidance to local sites for ad-hoc stress testing as part of portfolio management activities.
Requirements:
  • University degree and/or postgraduate qualification with a relevant quantitative content.
  • Previous experience in risk management for credit risk and/or traded credit risk.
  • Exposure to large projects involving technical IT considerations.
  • Previous exposure to stress testing activity or connected models.
