About the Location:
Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou is a unique island sanctuary located on a stunning 30-acre private island on the beautiful Jinji Lake. The hotel will feature over 200 elegantly designed rooms, suites, and private villas, surrounded by lush gardens and indoor/outdoor pools that reflect Suzhou's distinctive lifestyle and Four Seasons' unmatched service.
About the Role:
The Finance Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Staff Accountant/Chief Accountant by managing the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and local financial reports. Additionally, this position oversees various functions within the Finance Department, including cost management, accounts payable, and cashiering, ensuring compliance with local and corporate policies.
The structure and responsibilities of the Accounting office may vary based on operational requirements.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain professional relationships with all departments, Home Office, and Owner's Office.
- Uphold the company's Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
- Supervise cost management, accounts payable, cashiering, and other areas as directed by Finance leadership.
- Assist in various accounting functions and adhere to financial reporting protocols.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
- Ensure proper recording of income and timely reporting.
- Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and audits.
- Support colleagues and stay informed about Finance operations.
- Adhere to records control, security, and disposal policies.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by Finance management.
What You Bring:
- College education or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in Finance, preferably within a hotel environment.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, corporate policies, and computer systems.
- Strong analytical and strategic skills with business acumen.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Excel and computer software.
