Job Summary

The Teradyne Storage field service team is seeking a highly motivated and technically driven Field Service Engineer who is effective in consistently applying technical knowledge to achieve field service team department goals, including system KPIs, customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and productivity breakthroughs.

Responsibilities

  • On-site service of production systems at customer OSAT factories, including downtime troubleshooting, jam recovery, and utilization improvement.
  • Performing new system installations, upgrades, or retrofits.
  • Data collection and first-level analysis to identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, and automation problems.
  • Daily on-duty reporting of major issues to the team.
  • Preventative maintenance according to guidelines.
  • Issues reporting and escalations internally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in electronic or mechanical or semiconductor areas.
  • Familiarity with automation testing and maintenance of automation equipment and testers.
  • Basic skills in automation logs and testing logs analysis.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong reporting skills using MS Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Strong team work skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to travel for business and work occasional shifts or overtime.
