Product Lifecycle Manager Position

Siemens Ltd., China is seeking a skilled Product Lifecycle Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the economic success of the product towards the business manager in charge of the economic value.

You will need to understand the market and initiate new product development, product improvements and product phase out. You will also be responsible for the up-to-date condition of product-relevant data required for promoting the product.

You will follow the Product Portfolio Management (PPM) process and make suggestions for products, advanced-engineering and basic developments to be implemented.

Your Responsibilities

  • Definition of the products to be implemented as well as basic developments including the cancelling criteria and general conditions in project orders
  • Makes suggestions for the products, advanced-engineering and basic developments to be implemented
  • Market observation and timely integration of necessary changes into the product according to the change management
  • Co-operates with other PLMs to identify business-overlapping synergies
  • Initiates the identification and analysis of key competencies
  • Evaluates the future market requirements, competitor situation, purchase-deciding factors, comparative competitor advantages (CCA), unique features, etc. regarding the product portfolio
  • Supports the supply of product-relevant data to market, competitors, product, production, etc.
  • Orders the elaboration of substitute strategies
  • Preparation, evaluation and reporting of the indicators that are relevant for his products and transfer of this data to the PPM process
  • Ensure the planned production run-up

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with major in Mechanical, Electrical and Engineering major
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical basics of related product, marketing basics, R&D, Process, basics in product related standards, strategic planning, business management
  • Relevant GIS primary & Secondary and VCB experience are preferred
  • Standards in CN and globally defining sustainability topics in general and especial for power distribution systems and solutions
  • Capable to join standardization groups for sustainability topics and willing to represent Siemens interests
  • Willing to learn all related standards and able to identify relevant parts for EA portfolio
  • Good English skills for excellent cooperation with EA global sustainability team
  • Team working spirit and working well within a matrix organization
  • Know how about power distribution systems and segment solutions is preferred
  • Strategic thinking capable to create action plans, with responsible people and follow up
  • Define by product and action plan to ensure the compliance of our certificates and documents with domestic and main global requirements – while being in line with global activities
  • Basic know Eco friendly design, CO2 footprint evaluation in different level
