Main Responsibilities:

Understanding and interpreting BV Regulations, Notes, and International Standards with precision.

  • Deliver pre-contractual services to clients.
  • Engage in activity canvassing in collaboration with the Manager and assist the Marketing Manager as directed.
  • Review drawings as per job assignments.
  • Conduct assessments of drawings in line with the latest applicable BV regulations, international standards, and relevant technical guidance under the supervision of the Manager and Head Office.
  • Organize and maintain approved drawings, calculation sheets, and relevant documentation for each vessel.
  • Utilize BV stamps in accordance with work instructions.
  • Maintain and update BV Rules, Regulations, Notes, Codes, and software documentation in a timely manner.
  • Operate computers effectively and ensure they are in good working order.
  • Participate in scheduled activity monitoring as per MPG.
  • Provide necessary information to section secretaries for invoicing purposes.
  • Assist BV surveyors in resolving issues arising during the ship construction phase.
  • Communicate with Head Office and other offices on technical matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to address technical challenges.
  • Refer any claims or complaints from clients to the Manager or Quality Manager as per MPG and local procedures.
  • Capable of performing calculations, analyses, and reviews independently under supervision.
  • Adhere to the requirements of the HSE management system.
Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or a related field;
2. Over 5 years of experience, particularly in design roles within Shipyards or Design Firms;
3. A commitment to innovation and a willingness to continuously acquire new knowledge;
4. Preference for candidates with experience in stability calculations for ships and offshore units;
5. Proficient in English, both spoken and written;
6. Strong team spirit, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure and independently;
7. Responsible and diligent.
