Job Title: Senior Narrative Designer

Job Summary:

Riot Games is seeking a highly skilled Senior Narrative Designer to join our team. As a key member of our narrative design team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and immersive narrative experiences for our players.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement narrative design strategies to enhance player engagement and immersion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate narrative design into game development.
  • Design and develop new character stories and narratives that align with the League of Legends universe.
  • Identify opportunities for innovative narrative design solutions and implement them.
  • Partner with the IP team to ensure narrative alignment with IP strategy.
  • Work closely with the team to prototype and build narrative tools.
  • Collaborate with the team to receive feedback and iterate towards the highest quality product.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of professional narrative design experience in the game industry.
  • Proven track record of leading significant portions of narrative design and content production for a game title or shipped narrative product.
  • Deep understanding of interactive narrative functions and how it intersects with other game elements.
  • Good understanding of League of Legends champions and stories.
  • Excellent writing and adaptation skills for narrative content.
  • Ability to integrate narrative design with gameplay.
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a lead narrative role.
  • Experience with early-stage games and prototyping, with a focus on excellence and delayed gratification.
  • Experience working within a cross-disciplinary team through all phases of game development.
  • Comfortable with receiving feedback and narrative iteration.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
