Job Title: R&D EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to join our team in China. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new technologies and products for dry-type transformers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead product and process development projects, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Evaluate production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies and products, and document findings for knowledge transfer to production teams.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to other departments as needed, staying up-to-date with industry trends, international standards, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain internal standards and coordination on product standardization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain organizations with technical expertise to ensure fulfillment of technical requirements.
  • Cultivate technical leadership and share knowledge with colleagues, promoting innovation and best practices within the organization.
  • Ensure awareness of HSE aspects and adhere to applicable standards and regulations, embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a large organization, preferably with domain expertise in transformers.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, magnetic, and thermal phenomena.
  • Proven track record as a project leader.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, statistical, and simulation tools.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a structured and proactive work approach.
  • Spirit of innovation and 'out-of-the-box' thinking.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
