The Compliance Manager for the Philippines is responsible for collaborating with the General Manager and senior management to ensure that the organization meets its commercial objectives in a sustainable and compliant manner. This role is pivotal in influencing appropriate behaviors, driving accountability, and fostering leadership that cultivates a compliance culture, safeguarding the reputation of GSK while mitigating risks. The position entails providing compliance and risk management guidance to the Commercial sector in the Philippines, focusing on the three essential pillars of GSK Compliance: Predict, Protect, and Enable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the GEM Compliance Team and the Philippines Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with GSK leaders to effectively implement a compliance program within the Philippines aimed at preventing, detecting, and rectifying violations of company policies, including the ongoing integration of enterprise risk mitigation initiatives such as Commercial Practices, Anti-bribery and Corruption, and Privacy.
  • Work alongside business leaders to proactively identify, assess, and manage risks in alignment with GSK's internal control framework, facilitating sustainable business growth.
  • Ensure the timely deployment of relevant corporate policies in a clear, consistent manner that empowers business leaders to enhance competitive performance.
  • Facilitate the Philippines Risk Management and Compliance Board (RMCB), promoting its objectives to define effective risk management strategies, integrating insights from investigations, monitoring, and auditing to oversee the execution of mitigation plans.
  • Manage internal reporting and escalation of issues that may arise in the Philippines.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Investigations Team, HR, and Legal to ensure that reported concerns are investigated thoroughly and promptly, with appropriate corrective actions taken.
  • Implement global compliance initiatives by adapting global requirements to local contexts, including relevant training.
  • Advise senior management on risks associated with emerging business strategies and provide practical options for risk mitigation and management, as well as advisory services related to GSK Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure the establishment and utilization of effective internal controls, including management monitoring and Key Risk Indicators.
  • Support the resolution of local Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) arising from internal audits and investigations.
  • Act as a change leader for standardization efforts, simplifying complex practices while ensuring adherence to GSK policies.

Basic Qualifications:

We seek professionals with the following essential skills to help us achieve our objectives:

  • A University Degree (Bachelor or Master) in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Life Sciences, Risk Management, or Law.
  • Expertise in internal control frameworks and risk management principles.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment.
