Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Advisory Engineer to join our IDG team at Lenovo. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for evaluating Lenovo and competitor products to identify and influence costs and product design.

This role provides leadership and independent influence into the product, development, and procurement teams to achieve leading cost competitiveness on Lenovo products. You will work closely with management in the US, China, and Japan to drive product development and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and understand product lines and roadmaps for Lenovo and competitor products.
  • Provide leadership within a highly skilled engineering team, maintaining expertise in product competitiveness and cost.
  • Develop and implement cost optimization strategies to achieve leading cost competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and cost optimization.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering field.
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years.
  • Program management and communication skills.
  • Dedication to continuous improvement.
  • PC or related industry experience.
  • Familiar with PC architecture; CPU/chipset and performance, thermal, etc.
  • Ability to plan projects, allocate resources, manage equipment availability, implement and improve processes, coordinate, report and communicate at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Interpersonal skills. Influencer.
  • Practical knowledge of agile based program management, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience working in a global company.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent skills in standard Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Travel as necessary to support teams and interface with BU's– about 20%.
