Job Overview:

The position of Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist is pivotal within our supplier quality management framework.

You will oversee the performance and adherence of Airbus Atlantic's supplier network in Asia, ensuring that our customers receive timely and high-quality products. Your role will also involve collaborating with the multifunctional procurement team to execute the supplier quality management strategy effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Supply Chain and Quality Manager (SCQM) for Airbus Atlantic contracts in Asia to guarantee supplier compliance with established standards and to monitor supplier activities closely.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and work towards achieving industrial maturity objectives, including quality fundamentals and change notifications.
  • Implement the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology, overseeing and tracking APQP activities, including D/P FMEA, Key Characteristics, Key Process Parameters, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process Control, and Control Plans.
  • Support the SCQM in developing and tracking the monitoring plan.
  • Conduct product audits to verify compliance with requirements.
  • Engage in the SCQM role to manage crisis situations related to non-conformances and quality events.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to analyze quality data and develop recovery and improvement plans to ensure reliable deliveries.
  • Initiate and lead supplier development and enhancement projects.
  • Support audits for both Airbus Atlantic and suppliers, ensuring compliance with EASA and EN9100 standards and following up on action plans.
  • Identify potential industrial risks associated with suppliers and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Provide insights into supplier operational performance through key performance indicators and evaluations.

Your responsibilities will involve utilizing various tools, and you will be expected to familiarize yourself with them. Additionally, you will play a role in approving both internal and external supplier audits and reviewing supplier control processes.

This position requires regular business travel, at least once a month, so flexibility in travel is essential.

A degree in Engineering or a Master's qualification is required, along with over 7 years of relevant experience in similar roles. Senior Supply Chain Quality Managers are also welcome to apply.

Through your career, you will have developed the following competencies:

  • Proficiency in APQP methodologies.
  • Experience in auditing and assessment across various domains.
  • Strong background in quality standards and methodologies, including problem-solving techniques and process improvement skills.
  • Familiarity with quality regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including presentation and leadership skills, with a strong sense of autonomy and organizational capability.

A high level of proficiency in English is mandatory, while negotiation skills in French are highly advantageous for communication with the Airbus Atlantic team.
