We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team at IKEA. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Capacity Planning: Secure operational capacities by ensuring high-quality capacity data from suppliers and working proactively to resolve exceptions.
- Tactical Planning: Contribute to tactical capacity planning based on supplier performance and agreed capacity.
- Business Setup: Update and secure correct business set-up information in all relevant systems and work with reports to detect and act on possible deviations from goal.
- Supplier Development: Prepare suppliers for best replenishment and delivery solutions by maintaining and developing supplier delivery performance and sender lead-times.
- Logistical Optimization: Contribute to identifying best logistical offers, implement, maintain, and review them with customer and total cost in mind.
- Range Changes: Actively contribute to planning and execution of best set-up for range changes at supplier, constraints periods, and activities.
- Supplier Performance: Continuously follow-up, analyze, and take action to improve supplier delivery performance and ensure goods are shipped in time from suppliers.
- Availability Information: Secure correct availability information from supplier to IKEA Retail in such quality that it can be beneficial for customers.
- Supplier Development Projects: Develop and maintain suppliers' logistic competence towards becoming responsible for their own performance through working closely with suppliers, running Supplier Development Projects, and providing relevant trainings and working methods.
We are looking for individuals with knowledge of supplier capabilities, material, production flow, and capacity planning. You should have the ability to take leadership to ensure suppliers have goods ready in time and in full to fulfill customers' needs at the lowest possible landed cost. You should be able to translate the Category Plan into logistics solutions and always keep Total IKEA and Total Cost Development in mind.
