About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled CN Sourcing Quality Engineer to join our team in Shanghai. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite supplier assessments to evaluate their quality management systems, environmental and health and safety practices, and social accountability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and approve part qualifications and PPAPs, and support engineering in developing test plans and procedures.
  • Participate in design reviews and team meetings to ensure adherence to quality discipline and rigor.
  • Work with suppliers to drive the reduction of internal and external Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and maintain supply chain quality metrics and reporting.
  • Actively manage warranty claims and customer complaints, and initiate Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions (CAPA) as necessary.
  • Evaluate and measurably improve quality processes, and support supply chain with supplier scorecard/certification program and status.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field required.
  • At least 8 years quality experience with 5 years SQE role.
  • English can be the work language.
  • Training in basic lean principles and concepts, and understanding of key business drivers and general business principles.
  • Mechanical background in consumer products including work with zinc and aluminum die-casting, plastic injection molding, metal fabrication/stamping, finish evaluations (powder coating, wet painting & plating).

Preferred Skills:

  • Production part approval process (PPAP) knowledge.
  • Quality tools experience (PFMEA, Gauge R&R, SPC, process capability analysis, Problem Solving Tools, etc.).
  • Experience with ISO 9001 / TS-16949.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred).
