LumosCareer is seeking a skilled Primary Science Teacher to join our team. As a Primary Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young students and inspiring a love for science.

We are looking for an experienced educator with a passion for teaching and learning. Your expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and professional development will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Plan engaging science lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Incorporate hands-on experiments and activities to foster curiosity and a love for science.
    • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Curriculum Development:
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the science curriculum.
    • Evaluate and adapt resources to align with our vision and goals.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
    • Implement effective behavior management strategies.
  • Professional Development:
    • Engage in professional learning opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communication and meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience teaching science at the primary level, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
  • Knowledge of [Specify Curriculum, e.g., IB PYP, British National Curriculum, or equivalent].

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum.

This position may require occasional weekend and evening hours. The Principal is expected to be visible in school events.
