Position Overview

The Chief Risk Officer will serve as the primary representative for Risk and Permanent Control in China, liaising with management and various departments to ensure effective Human Resources management, participation in Business Continuity Planning, and handling daily administrative tasks. This role includes attending relevant committees associated with Risk and Permanent Control functions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee, manage, and coordinate all local Risk and Permanent Control functions, ensuring alignment with established Job Descriptions.
  2. Review reports from these functions, implement necessary enhancements, and participate in meetings to maintain operational excellence.
  3. Ensure the quality of the portfolio is upheld and continuously improved.
  4. Coordinate the execution of all Crédit Agricole CIB projects within China.
  5. Regularly report to the Board of Directors on operational results, significant contracts, financial conditions, risk assessments, and business outlooks in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  6. Provide the Supervisor with essential information regarding operational results and business risks, while respecting the supervisory process.
  7. Demonstrate integrity, reliability, and diligence in all aspects of the role.
  8. Establish and maintain an internal control framework in compliance with local laws and regulations to ensure the secure operation of the Bank.
  9. Select and manage qualified personnel across various business departments and branches, maintaining strict oversight of operational activities and associated risks.
  10. Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of all relevant reports, including regulatory submissions, while maintaining high data quality standards.
  11. Adhere to all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements, including the China Compliance manual and policies regarding Financial Security and Crime Prevention.
  12. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and complete all mandatory training to ensure ongoing competence in the role.
