Manufacturing Scheduler

Role Overview:

The Manufacturing Scheduler is responsible for developing and sustaining a detailed production timeline that aligns with established KPIs, ensuring consistent updates on each task while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

This individual will collaborate closely with various teams and departments to guarantee the availability of materials and resources, enabling the achievement of production goals and timely deliveries.


Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Develop production timelines based on customer order specifications, partnering with procurement and production teams to ensure material and resource availability for meeting production goals and delivery timelines.
  • Assess capacity and initiate outsourcing of manufacturing when necessary, while maintaining strict budgetary controls.
  • Conduct planning to optimize equipment support and allocation for enhanced capacity utilization.
  • Supervise daily work order completion in line with the planned schedule and coordinate with facility management to address any schedule discrepancies, ensuring immediate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure accurate documentation of parts/materials at various WIP stages, keeping work orders on track within established accuracy standards.
  • Relay drawings, specifications, and material needs to subcontractors for manufacturing outsourcing efforts, expediting processes to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Engage with internal sales personnel and customers, updating them on job status and providing project timelines and schedules.
  • Identify and address order risks while seizing opportunities for change orders.
  • Ensure all necessary data is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, lead times, production yields, and delivery performance.
  • Attend and actively contribute to Pass gate meetings, reviewing necessary steps for repairs and providing feedback for successful delivery outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in material planning or workflow scheduling within a manufacturing context.
  • Proven ability to schedule and plan multiple projects concurrently.
  • Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, inspection, and assembly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English; data analysis skills are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP or Oracle systems.
  • Over 8 years of relevant experience.
