Milliken & Company is a global leader in materials science, driving innovation and breakthroughs in the textile industry. We are seeking a talented Material Development Engineer to join our team in Textile Division Asia.

Job Overview

This role will focus on developing new materials and technologies for our textile business. You will work closely with our internal development team and external partners to create innovative products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and develop new materials and technologies.
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure the feasibility of new ideas and products.
  • Support the development team and manufacturing partners in bringing new products from lab to full-scale production.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in areas such as efficiency, automation, cost reduction, quality, and process improvement.
  • Scout new technologies to expand our product portfolio and business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Materials/Polymer Science and Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of experience in product testing and development.
  • Strong interest in new materials and technologies.
  • Proactive, self-starter with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of textile materials is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
