Audio Products Strategist

HARMAN International is seeking an experienced Audio Products Strategist to lead the product management and marketing for JBL.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating the product strategy and planning for all new product introductions, working closely with the Senior Director of Product Strategy and Planning Manager.

This is a full-time position that requires strong technical competence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a matrix environment.

About the Role:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that drives leadership in the category.
  • Presentation of product plans and Harman Value Proposition in a manner that is consumer-friendly, market-realistic, creative, and compelling.
  • In-depth knowledge of the wireless audio product category - market trends, competition, and technology.
  • Stay at the forefront of technological trends and implications, including critical platform architecture tradeoffs and maximizing the Harman advantage.
  • Strong P&L skills, with the ability to develop an ROI business case with total confidence.
  • Solid awareness of global retail markets and what it takes to get your product placed with key retail partners.
  • An international perspective that looks for creative ways to make meaningful rapid growth breakthroughs with our portfolio in crucial Harman international markets.
  • Connect well with regional commercial colleagues, ensuring they receive immediately useful information.
  • Collaborate with Program management and engineering teams to ensure required product concepts are turned into detailed product requirement documents.
  • Develop Marketing Plans with Brand Management teams and go-to-market strategies for key 'hero' launches from your category.
  • Define the experience for our target consumers.
  • Mastery of the entire lifecycle process, with solid project management skills to ensure initial product creation milestones happen on time.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year. This is a competitive compensation package that reflects the complexity and scope of this role. The actual salary may vary based on factors such as location and experience.
