As a Senior Hardware Engineer at HARMAN International, you will be part of a team that combines technical expertise with innovative ideas to drive cutting-edge solutions in the car, enterprise, and connected ecosystem. You will work on designing and developing high-quality hardware for car audio platforms, from concept to product release. Your responsibilities will include defining concepts with stakeholders, creating block diagrams and schematics, and conducting simulations and worst-case circuit analysis. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product design and meet timing, cost, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define concept with stakeholders according to technical specification, create block diagram, schematic for amplifier
  • Schematic concept design, component selection, and Bill of Material generation with the best cost optimization
  • Conduct simulation, worst case circuit analysis, design verification and implement DFMEA, lessons learn process
  • Co-work with PM, Layout, software, mechanical, thermal, test and operation team to optimize the product design to meeting timing, cost and quality
  • Board/System level Hardware debug and troubleshooting
  • Research in advance for new circuit and board-level solutions and POC for new-generation products. Work with key supplier for some customized parts
  • Technical support for global RFI/Q, and customer projects

Requirements:
  • MSEE preferred with 3+ years of relevant industry experience (Bachelor 5~7 years)
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, including Analog hardware design (monolithic and discrete linear amplifiers, switching power supply, filters, etc.), digital hardware design (MCU, DSP, FPGA, SoC, memory subsystem) and audio circuits
  • Experience with hardware system design, system integration and/or high-volume consumer electronics design preferred
  • Experience in schematic capture, layout design and review
  • Experience with voltage regulators, LDO, switch mode power supplies (SMPS) and PMIC
  • Experience in signal integrity and power integrity design and simulation
  • Experience with high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces, like SPI, I2C, UART, TDM, JTAG, etc
  • Experience in bench-level design verification with high-speed oscilloscopes preferred. Experience with network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, phase noise analyzer
  • Good in Verbal and written English and communication skills

What is Nice to Have:
  • Experience in the audio industrial and familiar with audio performance test
  • Simulation tools like Pspice, Hyperlinks and ADS is a plus
  • Strong capability of reading and studying component technical documentation, including but not limited to datasheet, reference manual, application note, errata and etc
