TopTutorJob is seeking a qualified English teacher to join our team at Leighton School, a small, elite college prep high school in Shanghai, China. The school is partnered with Perkiomen School, a highly rated college prep high school in Pennsylvania. Our goal is to educate students with a rigorous college prep curriculum to be successful in attending universities around the world and lead happy, healthy, and productive lives beyond university.

Located in the Sheshan National Tourist Area, our school provides a unique, New England feel to the community. We are looking for a dedicated teacher who can use a student-centered approach to learning and differentiated teaching strategies to engage all students in active learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and have experience in using backwards design curriculum development and differentiated instruction.
  • Have experience and demonstrated success in teaching related subjects.
  • Demonstrated success as an enthusiastic teacher who uses a student-centered approach to learning and differentiated teaching strategies to engage all students in active learning.

What We Offer
  • Annual Salary: 340,000RRMB+ after tax (negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and recommendations).
  • 4,000RMB housing allowance.

Requirements
  • A genuine interest in teaching and professional development.
  • Open-minded, patient, an adventurous spirit and professional flexibility.
  • 3 years or more relevant teaching experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Native English speaker.
  • TEFL, CELTA, or TESOL certificate.
  • Teachers' license obtained from English native speaking countries is preferred.
  • Teaching experiences in English native speaking countries is preferred.
