Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team at tesa. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to support our business growth and promote our brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to support our business objectives and promote our brand
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute regional communication strategies for Innovation & Sustainability
  • Develop and manage the annual communication plan to achieve regional communication goals and objectives
  • Lead a team to execute and implement the annual communication plan to achieve regional communication goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain a strong cross-functional network and relationship with key stakeholders
  • Lead and guide the team to initiate and develop internal and external communication content, including copywriting, translation of global communication content, and compelling visuals
  • Ensure organizational strategy, vision, and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
  • Lead and manage internal and external marketing and branding communication via appropriate communication channels
  • Develop and initiate branding and communication criteria training to internal and external users, review internal and external communication to ensure all communication is professional and accurate
  • Lead the team to establish benchmarks and measurement of online and offline communication channel presence, manage and monitor the channel to achieve the targets and objectives, lead the team to improve and optimize the communication channel efficiency
  • Lead the team to organize, execute, and optimize cross-BU events and activities with a key focus on customer, external marketing, and brand promotion
  • Lead the team for external vendor selection and management
  • Work with functional department heads for internal and external communication if needed

Public Relations & Government Affairs

  • Establish positive relationships with key levels of government, public services, trade organizations, and authorities in Shanghai, Suzhou, and other regions to advance our business interests, including company branding, market access, or other business activities
  • Regular communication with various government or non-government agencies, monitor, analyze, and interpret government policies on how these developments might impact our business development
  • Implement public relation programs/activities to protect and enhance our organization's reputation, respond to major inquiries from government, media, or other interested parties
  • Lead the team to conduct activities and events to maintain good relationships with external stakeholders and governments
  • Work with stakeholders to search and realize business opportunities and governmental subsidies
  • Lead crisis management efforts to minimize impact on the organization

Team Leadership & Management

  • As the team leader, establish, develop, and manage the team to achieve annual goals and objectives
  • Set up annual KPIs for the team and engage all team members to work towards achieving good performance at the end of the year
  • Develop teams by offering coaching and mentoring, motivate team members to keep passion for the work
  • Identify, attract, acquire, and develop internal and external talents, generate and implement talent development plans
  • Cooperate with key stakeholders to set up and implement career roadmaps for the team/sub-function, develop succession plans for key positions based on coaching and guidance
  • Lead team culture evolution, develop team culture based on tesa People Values

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and above, major in Marketing or Communication will be a plus
  • Additional Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) will be preferred
  • Min 10 years working experience in marketing or communication relevant
  • At least 5 years team management experience
  • Excellent speech and structured presentation skills, capability to communicate, cooperate, and influence across departments and regions
  • Excellent skills in event and activity organization and management
  • Good leadership skill to manage, coach, and develop subordinates
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, can lead the team to identify a variety of complex problems and present clearly, analyze the root reason with good analytical skills and business acumen, and can coach team members to solve difficult and complex problems
  • Highly self-motivating, open-minded, and diligent attitude
  • Excellent English communication skill in written and oral, good sense for cross-culture communication
  • Good project management skills, PMP certification will be a plus
