Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Senior Manager to lead our end-to-end commercial procurement activities in China. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies across various categories, driving accountability of total spend, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement integrated procurement strategies that align with commercial units to achieve best-in-market competitive supply agreements and increase overall profitability.
  • Collaborate with the APAC A&M Procurement lead to adopt APAC and Global strategies and tailor them to the local market.
  • Establish new and effective ways of collaborating with key stakeholders and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the China business.
  • Develop and maintain compliance and governance structures, and establish strategies to manage commodity price risk, procurement risk, and policy standards within the A&M category.
  • Establish functional credibility with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support the execution of the commercial calendar and implement new products.
  • Optimize supplier innovation and technology.
Requirements
  • Proven technical procurement category knowledge and experience in implementing best practice approaches.
  • Sound knowledge of agency world and agency cost models.
  • Preferred CIPSA or related qualification.
  • Preferred FMCG experience.
  • Degree qualified.
  • Proven influencing skills to positively impact complex negotiations and communicate at executive leadership levels.
  • Excellent balance of analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Contract writing, risk analysis, liabilities, and indemnities, SLAs, and general commercial terms.
  • Sound understanding of SAP and P2P Governance and Controls.
