Job Title: Naval Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team at AqualisBraemar LOC. As a key member of our maritime team, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and analyzing various naval architectural elements for offshore and maritime structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct MWS surveys on-site according to ABL standards and client requirements.
  • Prepare design analyses, concepts, and details for various fixed and floating offshore structures by international codes and standards.
  • Assess motion and stability of offshore and marine structures.
  • Ensure projects meet client requirements and classification rules and regulations.
  • Deliver high-quality solutions to customers within established timeframes, costs, HSE, and quality standards.
  • Attend regular internal and external meetings as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in Naval Architecture or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience and relevant expertise with offshore fixed and mobile structures.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes, with the ability to apply standards to structural analysis and designs.
  • Strong spatial awareness and ability to demonstrate skilled knowledge in analyzing technical solutions.
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including basic principles of design, systems design, and installation, mathematics.
  • Ability to select and apply standard guides, methods, and techniques.
  • Computer literacy with practical experience in structural analysis of marine and/or offshore structures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team player with a proactive approach, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy, with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Well-organized and self-directed, proactive and insightful.
  • Results-oriented and client-focused.
