Job Summary:

Corning is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician to join our team in the Corning Research and Development Center (CRCC). As a Research Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our research projects, particularly the PTA project, by conducting laboratory experiments, characterizing materials, and testing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and operate laboratory experiments under the guidance of senior researchers.
  • Conduct material characterization and product testing to ensure quality and performance.
  • Support the analysis of experimental data, develop new characterization capabilities, and maintain organized records.
  • Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Propose innovative solutions to technical challenges and implement them.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • More than one year of hands-on experience in materials or chemistry.
  • Familiarity with material characterization is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to follow safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations and ability to perform experiments efficiently.
  • Knowledge of materials and characterization techniques.
  • Ability to monitor and execute designed experiments.
