About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in China and Hong Kong. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to our business teams across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Support the negotiation and review of contracts, including sales and purchase agreements, agency and distribution agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Export Control: Ensure compliance with national and international regulations, including the development and implementation of internal export compliance systems.
  • Data Privacy: Advise on data privacy compliance and implementation of our data privacy program in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Legal Advice: Provide expert legal advice to our business teams on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property.
  • Contract Negotiations: Assist in contract negotiations with external parties to protect the interests of the company.
  • Dispute Resolution: Assist in the defense of claims and disputes, and provide advice on contractual disputes and litigation matters.
Requirements
  • Education: J.D. from an accredited China or international law school, membership in a relevant bar association, and good standing in such bar association with no past or pending disciplinary proceedings.
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience, including in-house experience, with knowledge in the medical device field being a plus.
  • Language Skills: Excellent English and Chinese spoken, read, and written.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
