  • Working Scope
  • Technical Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a professional technical team (including senior process manager, senior customer service engineers, process engineers, application engineers, etc.).
  • Be responsible for recruiting, training, career development, performance evaluation, and motivation of team members.
  • Create a high-performance, continuous learning, and customer-centric technical team culture.
  • Solving High-End Technical Issues:
  • As the highest-level technical expert (Escalation Point), handle and solve the most complex and difficult equipment hardware, software, and process integration problems at the customer site.
  • Lead the root cause analysis of major technical issues, formulate and implement long-term corrective and preventive measures.
  • Provide on-site expert support at critical customer nodes (such as new equipment installation, high volume production issues, introduction of new technologies).
  • Customer Relationship and Strategic Support:
  • Establish and maintain strategic trust relationships with key customers (such as SMIC, HHGRACE, HLIC, CXMT, YMTC, etc.) and their senior technical director level and department management personnel.
  • Deeply understand the business goals and technical roadmaps of customers, and convert customer needs into internal technical and product improvement plans.
  • Conduct regular technical reports to customers, demonstrating the technical value of ASM and making a commitment to their success.
  • New Products and New Technology Introduction:
  • Lead or deeply participate in the introduction and verification (Beta Site / Demo) of new equipment and new process technologies in the production lines of Chinese customers.
  • Work closely with ASM global R&D and product BUs, feedback unique market demands in China, and promote product localization optimization and the development of next-generation products.
  • Business and Operational Support:
  • Collaborate with the technical sales team to provide technical authoritative support for key business opportunities.
  • Analyze equipment performance data (WPH, Availability, MWBC, etc.), promote performance, productivity and ownership cost(CoO) improvement.
  • Manage technical-related risks and ensure the team complies with all safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Recruitment Requirements
  • Education and Experience:
  • Education: Master's or doctoral degree, in semiconductor, physics, chemistry, materials science, mechanical and electronic engineering, etc.
  • Experience: Typically requires at least 15 years of working experience in the semiconductor equipment or chip manufacturing industry.
  • Management Experience: At least 7 years of experience in managing technical teams, with a proven track record of leading large or high-end technical teams.
  • Core Technical Skills:
  • Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of at multi-cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing process, such as thin film deposition(CVD/ALD/PVD), etching (Etch), EPI, Furnace, etc. Well versed on process integration and process technology trends and issues.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Extensive understanding of semiconductor equipment (CVD, PVD, EPI ALD, etc.), including mechanics, electronics, software and vacuum systems.
  • Problem Solving: Proficient in structured problem-solving methods (such as 8D, DMAIC), with excellent data analysis and logical reasoning skills.
  • Customer Management Skills:
  • Prove the ability to communicate and interact effectively with key customers' executives and technical leaders. And prove being capable of building relationship with technical managers and director on the customer side. If has established key customer technical director/executives connection and relationship is preferred.
  • Have excellent business acumen, able to link technical activities with business results.
  • Leadership and Soft Skills:
  • Leadership: Capable of motivating and cultivating top technical talents, and building efficient teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, able to conduct technical demonstrations and reports clearly and persuasively. Be good at pushing the progress under obstacles. Prove to be familiar with the application of assertive and indirect communication strategies for achieving balance.
  • Influence: Possessing strong influence and cross-functional collaboration skills, able to effectively collaborate with teams worldwide (such as in the United States, India, etc.).
  • Strategic Thinking: Capable of thinking from a strategic perspective and formulating technical development routes for China's business.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Willing to frequently travel to customer locations (domestic major semiconductor manufacturing bases such as Shanghai, Beijing, Hefei, Wuhan, Shenzhen, etc.).
  • Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and emergencies in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
