ZF Test Systems develops and produces test benches for on- and off-road mobility for more than 35 years. Now we are looking for a new colleague of Mechanical Engineer for our Test systems BU, Industrial Technology Division at our location of ZF Holdings, Songjiang, Shanghai, China.

• Main Objectives: To design and develop the mechanical structure of specific test benches according to customer's SOR, which is synchronized, error-free, lean, standardized technologies, and with short setup time and lower maintenance levels. Be part of the engineering team and support the engineering manager from a technical aspect.
• Detailed Duties: Technical support for Sales, Project management, Service and/or other team. Responsible for the Mechanical design (3D and/or 2D), BOM and the documentation of test benches. Proactive get to understand the mechanical specifications/ protocols from customers. Make various calculations such as strength of materials, forces, and stresses. Designing with the best Safety and Ergonomic practices, know-how in local standards and governmental guidelines. Managing design reviews internally/ with customer and sign meeting minutest properly. Participate and be responsible for the internal project acceptance.Be part of the project team and be responsible for mechanical problem-solving in the whole project process, to achieve the project's final acceptance. Supplier management support (delivery on time, cost, quality…). Selection and verification of local mechanical components (including clarification of acquisitions).Technical support for manufacture, installation, and debug on site. Work closely together with the electrical engineer to get the assigned machine to reach the customer's SOR and industrial standard.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related major. 3~5 years of mechanical design and dimensioning working experience and good technical know-how in the field of automotive R&D testing or EOL testing, especially in the new energy vehicle application area. Basic know-how in fluid engineering (cooling water, hydraulics, pneumatics, conditioning). Experiences in machine dynamics and strength calculation. Has solid knowledge of testing, cycle time robots. Familiar with the dimensioning of mechanical components.
• Require good command of Creo/Axalant/SAP/(KissSoft)/Office Knowledge and other computer skills. Familiar with software for finite element analysis, and able to design new machines and/or tooling.
• Very good analytical skills, communication, and presentation skills, both written and oral. Analytical problem-solving skills. Have excellent knowledge of customers' specifications and strong design/process skills to meet or exceed targets.
• Good teamwork with strong customer-oriented, willingness to take challenges and responsibilities. Open mind and effective communication with team members. Able to work with high independence, able to work under pressure, and in a tight schedule. Pursue high-quality standards and implement them.
• Good English and Mandarin skills, both oral and written. German not required, would be a plus. Willingness for business travel within China frequently and for the long term.
• Has network with local leading engineering suppliers and manufacturers.
