Key Responsibilities:

  • Owner of the direct and indirect tax and statutory reporting ensure full compliance with both local and group policy.
  • Manage retail store opening closing and its related licenses, bank & tax compliance and it company chop and Person in charge.
  • Manage the head office fully digitalized fapiao issuance process to landlord and branches and its related compliance process.
  • Manage the relationship with the local tax bureau and provide tax payment forecast.
  • Manage and review the Value added tax calculation for both China head office and branch accounting and tax calculation are properly supported and in compliance of local accounting & Group policy.
  • Manage and liaison with bank on the execution of cross border trading transaction and its related custom supporting to bank and compliance with state admin and foreign exchange.
  • Manage the filing of the withholding tax filing for oversea vendors and Individual income tax appointed ambassador and stamp duty for lease.
  • Manage the incoming declaration of receipt to bank from oversea.
  • Review the custom duty and fright reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation and ensure consistency with the true up with the regional process.
  • Prepare the half year and year end Current and deferred tax calculation and tax pack and partner with tax advisor for group tax reporting bi-annually.
  • Manage and work with external auditors on annual audit for local statutory report and its related filing.
  • Lead the China local business in respect of retail and digital ecommerce platform related VAT tax compliance.
  • Lead and work with regional finance service team and IT project team on tax or finance compliance project such as fully digitalized e-fapiao project and vendor invoice management and electronic documentation retention project.
  • Support to Finance service Asia and UK team on China related issues, such as capital injection, dividend, Intercompany loan, Money Market Funds investment and redemption process and store insurance.
  • Coordinate with UK Tax team on tax rebate, tax budget and tax compliance spending, E-fapiao and all the tax related issue.
