If so, CFA Institute is looking for a Manager, Global Event Solutions (APAC) to join our team in Hong Kong.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the planning and execution of 6–10 concurrent events (virtual and in-person) across APAC, typically ranging from 100–500 attendees.

  • Deliver end-to-end event management, ensuring events are on time, within budget, and aligned with global standards.

  • Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders, managing relationships with internal teams (Finance, Legal, Marketing) and external vendors.

  • Provide post-event evaluations, including budget reconciliation, stakeholder feedback, and performance analysis.

  • Manage and coach cross-functional and dotted-line team members, supporting professional development and alignment with global event goals.

  • Contribute to crisis and contingency planning; act as incident coordinator when necessary.

  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes, ensuring efficiency and quality across all event operations.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in MICE/event management with strong project management skills.

  • People management or strong cross-functional leadership experience—confident in providing feedback, direction, and coaching.

  • Experience with virtual events (Zoom); knowledge of Cvent is a plus.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin; additional languages are a bonus.

  • Proven ability to work in a global matrixed organization, navigating complex stakeholder environments with cultural awareness.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a proactive, resourceful, autonomous working style.

  • Familiarity with contract negotiations and budgeting; ability to manage vendors and deliver cost-effective solutions.

Expected salary range: 575,000-675,000 HKD annually

All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual incentive bonus, a 12% employer contribution to a 401(k) or pension plan, and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
