Overview

The Vice President of Sales, APAC will take a pivotal role in broadening market penetration, defining new solutions and services for ER's portfolio, and generally leading the (APAC) company's growth through the adoption of innovative sales strategies and visionary leadership.  As the recognized leader in test and measurement solution services, ER now serves multiple discrete vertical markets, including Aerospace and Defense, Telecommunications, Power and Industrial, Automotive, Medical, Education, Space, and Data Products providing a wide range of products and services from an established equipment sales and leasing business to an emerging focus on innovative and market leading Asset Management services and solutions.



Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing or technical area required, MBA preferred10+ years' experience with divisional or global sales Senior level Sales experience with test and measurement applications across various industries, rental and financial solution business experience are desirable, asset management and value-add services marketing and business development disciplinesMarketing of third-party solutions in technical environmentsExceptional client-facing abilities, presentation skills, and self-confidence.Proven abilities to effectively manage steady-state, expansion, and high-growth stages, preferably within technology-oriented, capital-intensive environments.Demonstrable experience launching commercially successful products or services.MBA with a technical background is preferred

Responsibilities

Assumes full executive responsibility for all global sales, marketing and strategic business development operations of all the APAC business, including market targeting and company positioning. Lead the development of APAC strategic sales initiativesDevelop and demonstrate an insightful understanding of ER's markets and synthesize this into effective operating plans.Provide inspirational, pro-active team leadership, and demonstrate the ability to detect problems and intervene decisively.Act as a spokesperson at key events, broadening ER's industry-leading role.Lead and actively participate in business development and program development activities with manufacturers, service partners and customers.Lead and manage vertical market initiatives across Electro Rent's diverse technology and industry verticals.Lead and drive Sales and Program Mgmt. roles, responsibilities, and performance to achieve the company's growth goals:Create a culture of competent and aggressive business pursuit through outstanding preparation, positive attitude, collaboration, and success. Research and analyze market/customer trends and needs. Develop long-term forecasts based on customer requirements, contractual requirements, trends, and market activity.Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to leadership and other company functions.Develop/execute effective business strategy and implementation plan, with emphasis on Electro Rent's key markets of Aerospace & Defense, Semiconductor, Telecom, Automotive, Space and Aerospace to achieve Revenue/KPI targets in alignment with company strategy and requirements.Craft business development and sales strategies for our respective markets and customers.Develop and manage relationship plans and coordinate cross-functional activities for all accounts; leverage and expand those relationships to identify additional capture opportunities and to increase interest and demand for PMP products; and acquire and develop new customer relationships where they align with our strategies and objectives. Establish best-in-class customer relationships, from buyers, to engineers, to key decision makers.Identify and manage new business revenue opportunities, understanding client requirements.Manage customer expectations and follow-up to contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.Develop long term program plans and roadmaps to meet the program profitability objectives.Monitor problem solving, drive root cause analysis and recovery plans to meet customer requirements.Continuously evaluate the business case and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Develop strategic plans and budgets and manage them effectively.Develop and foster a collaborative, winning team culture with high morale. Domestic and international travel approximately 50%Performs other related duties as assigned, in accordance with business needs and organizational goals.
