About the role:

We are looking for a
Mechanical Engineer
to foster the expertise for the hardware, contributing to the definition of company objectives and ensuring his development up to the efficient and timely production and respect of quality standards. The new colleague will be in charge to follow development of mechanical and electronical Alpinestars components in Asian area. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the hardware meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components for electronic products using CAD program.
  • Create detailed design specifications and drawings based on product requirements for Alpinestars Supply chain.
  • Search and development of innovative components and technical solution in Asian Area
  • Conduct fast simulations and prototyping with our Asian partners to validate hardware designs.
  • Collaborate with Alpinestars worldwide team engineers to integrate hardware and software components with mechanical component.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications.
  • Provide guidelines and directions to develop potential suppliers to meet Alpinestars requirements for Approved Suppliers List, this includes Engineering capabilities, tool construction, Equipment and facilities, Prototype, quality, capacity and capabilities.
  • Travel to Alpinestars supplier sites (50% travel time) for scouting technology, provide technical support and develop prototype.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in hardware design and part development in Automotive, Motorsport or Sport Equipment industry.
  • English level C1. Knowledge of Chinese languages is considered a plus
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD program (CATIA is a plus)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the market
  • Strong understanding of product development process.
  • Strong Experience and knowledge of Asian supply chain
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
