 Key Tasks:

  • Responsible for Functional Safety (FuSi) and HV-Safety for high voltage batteries.
  • Ensure fulfillment of safety goal acc. to MFTBCs IS026262 and EUCAR Hazard Level process or China GB/T Standard
  • Responsible for engineering and technical support of HVB specific parts or functions of HV battery system with regards to FuSa and HVSa
  • Responsible for safety evaluation of design items (mechanical, electrical, thermal)
  • Responsible for planning and tracking of FuSa and HVSa related development activities, e.g. specification, requirements alignment, supplier management, component timing management, change control, component and vehicle validation testing including production validation & technical approval on HV-Battery level
  • Responsible for interface towards external partners (VW Group brands' development, production, quality departments, etc., Joint Ventures, Suppliers)
  • Responsible to ensure development's execution of the VW Golden Rules requirements related to FuSa & HV-Safety
  • Responsible for problem investigation, reporting & resolution under requested milestone and program timing related to FuSa & HV-Safety
  • Responsible for hardware relevant release approach, documentation, problem solving, clarification and release approval related to FuSi & HV-Safety

Qualification and skills required for the position:

  • Engineering degree in automotive, electrical, mechanical or respective fields
  • 3+ years, battery and/or E/E experience preferred
  • Professional experience in automotive hardware and/or software development.
  • In-depth knowledge of Functional and HV Safety, ISO26262 Skilled with efficient management of complex projects with many stakeholders.
  • Self-organized and analytical thinking.
  • Convincing, strong ability to negotiate.
  • Strong problem solving abilities in complex environment.
  • Experience with requirements management and the necessary tools (e.g. DOORS/ Polarion).
  • Inter cultural affinity
  • Language: Fluent English is must, Chinese and/or German is appreciated.
