Strategic Sourcing Managers, Custom Mechanicals and Packaging

The Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Development Engineering Organization at Meta is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support product categories with high potential for sustaining human connection at scale. This position will focus on supporting one of the most strategic technologies. This will include managing a global supply base, managing supplier relationships, defining the category and supply base strategies, management of engagement and related contractual execution activities, and partnering across technical teams in Industrial Design and Product Development to help accelerate the shift to high automation and highly technical advancements in the Materials supply chain. An ideal candidate will have high ambition to tackle new-to-industry problems and drive growth for Meta. You must be a high energy/impact individual with a demonstrated ability to succeed in a high-demand and fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate through ambiguities/difficult obstacles through facts & data, evaluation of alternatives, open-mindedness, thought-through strategy, and superior communications to lead cross-functional organizations through sourcing activities will be required.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for mechanical components, addressing current and future technical and commercial requirements Integrate supplier input into the development process through conducting supplier technology roadmap reviews and trade space evaluations Drive strategic supply chain direction and innovation via the Value Innovation Forum with product design and technology operations Apply analytical problem-solving to SPOR (Supplier Plan of Record) decisions and complex supply chain issues Strengthen mechanical supply base on advanced FATP like assembly capabilities and introducing color, material, and finish (CMF) post-processing techniques to support evolving product requirements Lead negotiations for purchase agreements and contracts to secure optimal terms and ensure supplier accountability for program deliverables Champion cost reduction programs utilizing should-cost models and data analytics Create and implement contingency plans for scalability challenges, lead times, single-source dependencies, and geopolitical risks Initiate and execute capacity planning, supplier resourcing and mass production plans for new products across all lifecycle phases Develop systems for measuring supplier performance and conduct regular business reviews Build relationships, align on objectives, and articulate a strategic vision to foster growth and innovation Travel (20%-30%) and work across time zones to support global supply chain activities

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain management, business or equivalent practical experience 3+ years of sourcing experience in fast paced consumer electronics or equivalent industry Working knowledge in all or any of the following areas: plastic injection molding, compression molding, stamping, forging, CNC machining, die-casting, softgoods and related manufacturing processes Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, should cost modeling, contract negotiation and supply base management Experience with cost drivers and experience building bottoms-up or should cost models Proficiency in english communication and writing skills Proficiency in Microsoft excel to run supply modeling and analysis Experience ramping high volume consumer electronics products Experience working with Tier 2 supply chain partners, CMs, ODMs, OEMs MBA or Master of Engineering
