Key Responsibilities (Strategy):
•    Regularly research, track, analyze, and report on current or potential business opportunities and risks with supply chain partners/customers within auto glass and display industries.
•    Detects early signs of strategic changes with competitors’ capabilities within the technical glass supply chain.
•    Analyze various CI/MI data to generate timely, accurate, and relevant intelligence and propose strategic, financial, or operational changes for AGS through actionable insights.
•    Develop and deliver coherent and compelling CI/MI reports and presentations for use in internal planning sessions or ad-hoc requests.
•    Participate in sharing vital information with Commercial Teams within AGS as well as coordinating with CI/MI functions in other Corning divisions to share best practices and align on relevant intel, outlooks, and assumptions.
•    Support CI on better understanding the global supply chain and manufacturing landscape of customers/competitors (including information for tech innovation, capabilities, and strategic partnerships).
•    Monitor and collect customer information, including supply chain partnerships, new plants/products, market prices, strategic plan, etc. 
•    Support on tracking product market share by various segments and competitors’ growth
•    Occasional travel possible (less than 10%)

Key Responsibilities (Analysis):
•    Proactively collect CI/MI data from multiple sources (including new) to build a comprehensive and well-maintained database for analytics, reporting, and forecasting.
•    Develop processes to gather data and assumptions from the AGS organization to complete information where there are gaps in market forecasting and CI/MI analytics.
•    Assist Strategy & Analysis Director on improving AGS’s global market forecast models.
•    Thinking creatively to address business challenges and support strategic decision-making by using new and established methodologies in descriptive, predictive, prescriptive analytics.
•    Find innovative automation solutions for data management, analytics, and reporting to mitigate resource constraints within the Strategy & Analysis Team and AGS.

 

Experiences/Education:
Required
o    Very fast learner and is not afraid to ask questions
    Must be able to clearly understand AGS products, manufacturing, and internal processes within first 3-months of hire
    Must be able to clearly understand automotive and display industries as well as the major OEM/T1/T2 players within first 6-months of hire
o    Strong ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team
o    Must be inquisitive and open to challenging traditional processes and thinking
o    Self-driven for continual learning and ongoing training/development
o    Familiar with database creation, maintenance, and data governance
o    Minimum 3 years of experience in Analytics, CI, MI, Commercial, and/or Insights role
o    Successful track record of completing complex analytics, data automation, and/or database projects
o    Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering, computer/data science, or equivalent
o    Proficient or better in English (Speaking, Writing, and Reading)

Desired
o    Experience working with mid to senior level leadership
o    Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive, technical glass, and/or display panel industries
o    Expert in using Power BI/Tableau, MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, Python, and/or Alteryx
