Purpose of the Position – Value added to Company’s Success

The main purpose of this role is to in first instance ensure tax compliance in the APAC region and be the first point of contact of tax authorities in the region. The person is responsible to build together with the global Tax team in Netherlands (currently 5 FTE) a solid tax function and robust tax strategy and model for the future. As the IT integration and move to the external SSC still needs to take place, the new Regional Tax manager should be able to initiate efficiencies and implement effective tax processes. Besides, the Regional Tax manager should be a business partner and ensure tax compliance to local regulations.

Impact of the Position

The regional tax manager will support the Finance function in the APAC region and will be the handshake between the outsourced compliance provider and the global Tax team in the Netherlands. The person should safeguard a solid tax position in the region and avoid any unpredicted tax exposures. Through its business partnering role it should create awareness of tax in the region and support the business where needed in compliance matters and/or value creation.
