Responsibilities

-GENERAL:Supports and advises management in a wide variety of legal areas, including commercial, corporate, labor & employment, litigation & claims, regulatory, IP management,and compliance.

-COMMERCIAL & CORPORATE:Supports Fortive and OpCos on all aspects of commercial relationships, including drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and advising on corporate entity issues in APAC.

-INNOVATION: Supports on IP matters, especially to those patents under local OpCo’s name, and assists on the IP aspects of other commercial relationships.

-LITIGATION & CLAIMS:Leads and supports on litigation, claims, and other significant legal matters.

-GROWTH:Supports M&A and other strategic activities, including acquisition due diligence and post-closing integration.

-LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE:Supports China/APAC legal & committee members across OpCos, being the bridge between regional teams and global legal teams.

-LABOR & EMPLOYMENT: Advises HR leaders on legal aspects of labor & employment matters across APAC.

COMPLIANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT:Supports in implementation of compliance programs outside of China under APAC, lead & support on compliance investigations, provides compliance trainings and assesses compliance concerning promotion programs – acts as a Champion of Fortive Code of Conduct.

Background and Skill

- At least 10 years’ legal experience required, with both law firm and in-house experience preferred;

- Master degree from an accredited law school and Chinese bar;

- Experience in handling a broad range of legal issues with an emphasis on commercial matters including contract review and drafting, IP management, litigation & claims management, a broad compliance experience strongly preferred

- Strong English written and oral communication skills

-Experience with multi-national business strongly preferred
