Head of Region APAC Interior

Job Description

We are looking for you, a Head of Region APAC Interior & Exterior Business Area Surface Solutions (m/f/d), to support our area Surface Solutions at the location Shanghai.

The Head of Region APAC Interior & Exterior is responsible for developing and deploying the segment´s strategy in the APAC region in regards to Segment LivTec's Interior and Exterior Product Portfolio. The Head of Region APAC Interior & Exterior leads and directs all activities in regards to the Interior and Exterior Product Portfolio in the region. The Head of Region APAC Interior & Exterior has full responsibility to achieve budgeted sales and margin and other planned financial and non-financial results and to preseve and improve the P+L and ROCE of Segment LivTec.

Your tasks will focus on the following activities:

Sales Management

Overall responsible for definition and execution of Sales plan in regards to markets, products and industries within respective region Defines and executues margin targets in regards to markets, products and industries within respective region Analyses the figures of sales, turnover and costs as well as the company´s share for deliveries and contriubtion margin in the Region Defines and executues measures related to commercial excellence in the region Leading and directing sales teams to achieve defined sales and margin plans

Strategy Development

Coordinates with the Segment Head & Direct Reports the development and preparation of both tactical and strategical plans and budgets based upon the Business Area goals and growth objectives in the Region Periodically presents such plans for general review and approval from Segment Head Implements the BA & Segment strategy in the Region in regards to defined product portfolio Defines and communicates strategic objectives and actions for the segment in the Region Analyses the market and technology and initiates business strategies Analyses the figures of sales, turnover and costs as well as the company´s share for deliveries and contriubtion margin in the Region Observes competitive activities Defines new product ideas where necessary Supports Segment Head in M&A related activites within respective region Defines and executues measures related to commercial excellence in the region

Management

Maintains a sound plan of the organization and proposes and implements changes in organization structure in the Region as required by the development and growth of the business in the region to be aligned with the customers needs and requirements. Coordinates changes with the Head of the Segment Appraises and evalutates the results of overall operations regularly and reports these results to the Head of the Segment Takes appropriate steps to develop the sales locations and corrects unsatisfactory conditions Supports the Head of the Segment on any kind of strategic questions and topics Ensures that organization policies are uniformly understood and properly interpreted and administered Reviews and approves internal policies and controls the communication of reliable management operating in the Region information, and thereby solidifies the management controls and direction of the segment

Entrepreneurial Responsiblity, Finance & Controlling

Works closely with customers and the respective decision makers in the market to direct the segment in the region to achieve budgeted profitability and other planned financial and non-financial results and to preseve and improve the P+L and ROCE in the segment Presents proposed operating and capital expenditure plans in the region for review and approval to the Head of the Segment Takes necessary actions to protect and enhance the company´s investments in subsidiaries Ensures that all operations are performed in compliance with relevant local, state and federal laws and regulations 

Leadership of the Segment & Coordination with central BA functions

Coordinates functions like Design, e-commerce, CRM, Marketing by leading people , projects and business and making decisions to the business objectives of the Segment & BA

Human Resource Management

Ensures adequate management development pracitces and processes in order to provide capable management successors Supports timely placements Leads, directs and coordinates the efforts of subordinate executive personnel Reviews and approves the appointment, employment, transfer or termination of all employers and resolves any conflicts arrising between operating groups and staff units

Quality & Technical Compliance

Safeguards commited standards of quality guidelines (internal and external), quality awareness, customer quality targets and observes customer care commitments

Representation of the Segment/BA

Represents the segment as appropriate in its relationships with customers, suppliers, competitors, bankers, government agencies, and similar groups in order to safeguard the interests of the Segment/Business Unit
 

Qualifications

Education

Technical, Science or Business Studies (University/University of applied science)

Professional Experience

Comprehensive professional experience in general management preferably including plant management, project management, commercial management Industrial Sales in decorative surface and technical surface materials plus understanding of their technologies Leading responsibility experience as advantage Deep market knowledge on customer and competitors' trends and actions and advanced networking skills Communication capabilities for overall communication with high impact, especially in the local culture (norms and behaviors) Advanced presentation and negotiation techniques

Leadership Experience

Comprehensive leadership experience in different team setups

International Experience

Comprehensive international business experience
